Marketing Manager - Advertising Products
Job Objectives
You will be responsible for a segment of products in our organization. This would involve developing a deep understanding of our client base and target market to continually refine the sales proposition, marketing message and customer experience delivered to our 35,000 + customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding the customers' needs and wants within each of your product offerings and segmenting our target markets.
- Helping our sales team understand the customer segments and motivations to allow them to identify appropriate opportunities to upsell and cross sell these products and giving them strategies to do this effectively
- Identifying opportunities to improve our products and presenting business cases on how this will improve take up and/or renewal rates
- Creating strategies to communicate our value proposition to existing and potential clients and being able to manage this through implementation and post implementation review
- Understanding the reasons why customers don't buy from us and relaying this information to the marketing & sales team to enable us to overcome these objections
- Communicating the benefits and value propositions of your products and any enhancements made to these to the organization so that staff communicate a consistent and effective message to our customers
- Conducting market research on our client base and on the effectiveness of our products
- Ensuring your products achieve or exceed their budgeted uptake and renewal rates
- Creating documentation to support our sales team
Relationships/Roles
You will be the vital conduit between our Marketing department and our Operations team. You will report to our Chief Marketing Officer and will interact with the Operations and Sales Manger on a day to day basis to achieve a wide range of shared KPI's relating to your products.
Desired Experience
The successful candidate will come from a Sales & Marketing Manager background. They will have formal marketing training and experience in driving sales for an organization. An understanding of online marketing or experience in a high volume membership or retention business would be highly regarded.
